Archives For St. Michael’s Church

Tomorrow is the National Day of Prayer. How many of you guys are doing this in your church or community?

Well we are. We have many churches invited and 5 churches have put the event together. It is tomorrow night at 7pm so keep it in your prayers.

I am extremely excited about this event for unity sake. I can’t wait to get that many denominations in one room to celebrate that we are “one” church.

Also my multi church worship band Shift will be leading worship. This will be the first public unveiling of the band so keep that in prayer also.

Here is the set List for the night:

  1. Everlasting God: Brown
  2. Blessed Be Your Name: Redman
  3. Mighty To Save: Hillsong
  4. How He Loves: Jesus Culture version
  5. How Deep the Fathers Love: modern hymn
  6. Amazing Grace: Tomlin chains are gone version
  7. All Creatures in key of A with O Praise him vamp
  8. How Great is Our God/How Great thou art: Tomlin/trad.

Did I mention we are playing my new favorite song HOW HE LOVES…ah yeah baby.

Band Name: HELP!

March 18, 2008 — 33 Comments

I need every bodies help!

As many of you have been reading I put together a multi-church worship team here in the area and I know God has some big things for this crew in the future.

With that said the band needs a name.

There are a few directions I want to go with it. either in the vein of unity or something having to do with worship changing or stirring up the area.

So far I have one name.

DELVE – the word means to pour into, to loosen or upturn the earth.
I love the connotation of that. My keyboard guy though says it reminds him of Devo..oh boy!

So everybody who reads this thing help me out. That means all 400 of you.

#1. do you like Delve and it’s meaning

#2. got a better idea…love to hear it..

Think fast!

Youth Director..another hat

February 28, 2008 — 3 Comments

As many of you know I am the youth director for our senior high group at our church. It is called Grounded & Settled. We are going to be doing some awesome stuff and I will have a ton of it on here, but go check out the separate blog I made for the youth group. I think you will like it.

Right now we are studying Mark Batterson’s, in a pit with a lion.
