Movie Reviews: Iron Man and Hulk

Wanted to let you guys know about a few movies I saw recently.

Lets start with..

IRON MAN:

This is a killer movie and exactly what I was hoping for. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the role. I loved every minute of this movie and It goes into the catalogs as one of the top 5 comic book movies of all time.

It stayed true to the comic which was nice. Great humor, Good acting, and awesome action. This was not a campy movie. It was very realistic and not litered with a on of unbelievable CGI.

Iron Man is a must see.

The Incredible Hulk:

Did you see the first one they did a few years ago? I did and that’s why I was scared to go see this one. My brother took me out to it for fathers day so I thought what the heck it’s free. They say never judge a book by it’s cover. In this case don’t go into this movie thinking about the last one. The last movie was so CGI and crappy it deserved 1/2 stars and that is basically because it did have the hulk in it.

This movie sets itself apart. It was great. It had all the elements of the comic and finally had actors who could….ACT! And Hulk didn’t look cheesy and dumb. He was actually very cool looking and his movements were very realistic when he fought the abomination. There was also tony stark in it and so great teasers for the future marvel comics world of movies.

I don’t think there was much language in it and no visible sex. I think you need to see this one because it restores the hulk franchise.

It is like batman begins vs. batman forever. NUFF SAID

Iron Man gets five thumbs up from me…errr…well from me and two of my friends (I only have two you know!)

Anyway, if you haven’t seen it yet, GO SEE IRON MAN!

Only 3.5 for Hulk? Whoa! I thought it was a solid 4 – 4.5. I didn’t really think it was too far from Iron Man.

The setup for The Avengers is coming along very nicely! Can’t wait for Hancock and the new Batman flick.

Happy belated Father’s Day by the way.

DUDE, when are we getting together again? Do I have to start complaining again?

My only complaint about Hulk: it was a bit too open-ended for me. What was with the guy having blood drip on his head and his skull started freaking out? Where was THAT going? And what the heck was the army gonna do with the Abomination after he shook off that beating? Was he just gonna lay there and get handcuffed?
    Other than that, loved it.

    I agree, 2 great movies.

Personally, I think the Hulk cg work was better than the spidey series.

I like how they’re moving towards a big uber convergence of the Avengers. Can’t wait for that one.

I’ve also heard of a Justice League movie in the next few years, anyone confirm that?

Dude, I too think you graded the Hulk too harshly. Haven’t seen Iron Man yet but LOVED The Incredible Hulk. I thought the action scenes were more satisfying and enjoyable than Transformers!

I do agree it was left too openended. I thought EXACTLY the same thing as Paul up there.

BTW it’s good to be catching up with you again 🙂

Ha…funny I think i am a little critical when it comes to moves. Iron man to me had everything you want in a movie. Hulk however was a little lacking in character development.

Can’t wait for dark knight and hellboy 2
