Hey, nice one Klampert. How’d you manage that? 😉

Is the magazine worth subscribing to? I was looking for a PDF version, but couldn’t see the option.

Check you out Big Timer! That’s awesome.
I’ve gotta plug Worship Leader mag. Every issue doesn’t blow me away but it’s a great resource for worship leaders out there for practical and theological tools relating to the worshiping musician.

Personally, I’ve been disappointed with the SongDiscovery CD’s lately. I know everyone’s tastes are different…seems like they’re picking a lot of tunes just because they’re “cool” or “different”, not because they are congregationally appropriate…just my opinion…

oh I def. agree with that paul. I usually find 3 songs that are really usable, but those songs are usually great. the rest are uh ok at best…and not for church.

That’s a growing trend these days I think. Some songs that are popping up recently require a full band of hired session musicians to do the song justice.

For me, a good song is one that can even be played at a minimalistic level (i.e. acoustic and voice) and still sound great!

Every church cannot produce the quality of churches like Hillsong, etc. I don’t think God overlooks the rest of us, with our simple song arrangements. In fact, I know he doesn’t. He was there last Sunday with me. 😉

Exactly SNOWDUDE. Good song can be done justice with one instrument. And God can work through anything…
I was talking with somebody last night think of how bad it sounded in the old testament with 100 guys with shofars blowing all at different pitches. lol
