I can’t believe you have listed Stryper. Heh heh.
What contribution to music did they make?

I once had a Stryper album, I’m not denying it, but to say “These are the ones that I believe have shaped Music as we know it.”

I like a bit of rock music now and again. Just didn’t get the whole big hair and lycra phase! 😉

It’s hard to argue with the influence of Nirvana; but, seeing all that David Grohl went on to do with Foo Fighters, I’d have a FF CD or two on my list — just can’t narrow it down yet.

Genesis — Selling England By The Pound, as a companion to the Yes prog rock entries.

Keb’ Mo’ — Just Like You, for post-blues blues

    Cake — Fashion Nugget

    What, no Led Zep? 😉

Yeah the foo guys are fantastic…but not a influence on me…

    Genesis def…esp with peter gabriel

Cake…ha ha ha…id prefer primus or presidents of the united states

and oh my I would normally say Led Zep because they were an influence for sure…but page being such a hardcore satanist makes them kind of hard to recommend as a must have CD
