If you have been a reader of my blog for anything longer than a minute then you know I am a designer. What you might not know is I also do marketing consulting.
This is an example of where I will be heading with the new blog when I move to klampert.com. In addition to all of the other random coolness I post I am going to be posting a ton more on design and marketing for the church. So this is only the beginning.
You are probably wondering what is the deal with the title. I am moving from cecworship to a hosted blog at klampert.com within the next month, after I get it looking cool.
Moving is easy, but coming up with a name I liked that would not completely throw people off is tough.
Thanks to this community I have decided to go with klampert.com, but you didn’t see any of the others I went through.
The #1 name I wanted to use was “an altar. com”. I think of my site as my altar to God. A place I can document His greatness in my life. The problem was when typed in a browser it reads analtar.com. ANAL TAR.com. Yikes! Can’t use that.
So for my first tip in marketing and choosing a name:
Make sure that when it is written out in multiple applications that it still works or you could have ANAL TAR.
The best example of this kind of error is from Saurday Night Live. Sean Connery on celeb jeopardy says “I’ll take the rapists for $200 alex.” and the category is THERAPISTS.
Take a look at your choices in names and how they relate to context. Watch out for anal tar.
I know I announced this stuff forever ago, but With the mac upgrade I am also hoping to upgrade my wacom tablet from the intuos 3 6×11 to the 12wx cintiq. Of course this means the intuos will be for sale for real.
Something most of the blog world doesn’t know is I used to be a professional illustrator and also worked in the comic book industry. It’s time to get back to my first love.

This past Sunday our pastor announced that with much prayer within the leadership and elders we have decided to change Our church name from St. Michael’s to lifepath church. I was a part of the prayer and thinking of this and have my thoughts about what this means for us. I will expand on it tonight.
I am very excited about everything that comes with this and will also be calling for the help of you readers in my next post with your prayers. Until then here is the announcement and explanation of everything going on. This is not just a name change. We are trying to change the spiritual climate in our area. We want to see people come to Christ.
