A very cool Sunday. Great music and some major answers to prayer. One of my youth has been praying her mom would come to church. She has been taking some major leaps of faith and even annointed her mom with oil this week and prayed for her. Well this week God honored her faithfulness when her mom asked her If she could go to church with her. AWESOME! She had a tough day because the enemy is pushing back so if you can give her a quick prayer and her family that would be great.

I think overall the set was perfect. Everything went smooth this week. After service we had a lunchin and discussed as a church family or pending move and our churches options. Everything went great. Just a real good Sunday.

Great stuff this week. Killer set and I loved ever minute of it. I absolutly love playing the Kari Jobe stuff.

Interesting week though. Last week sermon was basically about getting out of apathy and stop praying and do something.

This week, after much prayer and leaders meetings, it was announced that our Church would be moving.

God told us that we need to move and when we made that clear to the people we have been renting to for something like 10 years that God would open up the flood gates. So we called them last week and told them we would be out by Jan 1. Then in prayer this last wed night God gave my dad (the pastor) a vision of an operation and a cloudy thing being pulled out of an eye. Then he had some pain in his right eye, opened it and could see the clock across the room without his glasses. He could onloy see out of his right eye. God healed him to show him a few things. first to show that he is making the way clear and also to show he is still the God of healing.

Sunday morning we made the announcement that our small church is moving and that God is gonna do huge things. We don’t even know where we are going yet. We aso, because God told us to, handed out small viles of oil so our people could pray over thier families and friends and pray for healing.

I made an announcement that our evening service would go from once a month to twice a month and something wild happened too…….to be continued in the next post

Interesting week. On saturday night my dad (the pastor) decided to go to the hospital with chest pain. They did tests and everything came back normal. They decided to keep him for 2 extra days just to be sure. This meant we needed to scramble for a teaching. We pulled it together and had a good message. The worship was good as well, but something is sure in the air.

We are never people to call everything bad an attack…actually we don’t even do it very often, but this was definatly one. My dads sermon was a big one. It is part of some of the things I have been writing on the blog. About action, thinking big and moving forward. I am pretty sure satan does not want us thinking this way. As a mater of fact when I led youth group that evening I had this odd feeling. It was an odd night. It seemed most were not paying attention. Like we were being distracted and our focus was turning away from kingdom things. I addressed it and then went home kinda irritated. I walked away thinking..what the heck is going on here. I prayed about it and realized. God is ready to rock this place. Whenever God wants to do something big and we profess that we are going to do it as well then we are bound to get attacked. My answer…

BRING IT SATAN! WE HAVE ALREADY WON AND YOU DON’T HAVE A CHANCE!!

Cool set this week. I had a blast with the worship. Playing Phil Wickham in a singable key was..dare I say it..RAD!

I love Oh the glory of it all and especially for communion. No clue why but I did see the way in way too love of a key, but it worked any way.

If you are seeing this. Yes I did 2 Tomlin songs. And yes that may just be too many in one set, but it really worked this week.

And ending with I will boast was fantastic. I love Baloche. He writes perfect stuff.

Overall everything went great, but ever since mancation my mind has been racing with tons of stuff. More on that soon.

It seems it has been a while since i have posted a set list or done a confessional. I stopped doing the confessionals just because I thought they were kind of dying off. Not posting the set lists was pure laziness. Recently I have had a few people ask me why I was not posting my set lists any more. My answer…I don’t know.

Then Fred Mckinnon tells me ” hey man join my set list carnival.!” So i guess here it is, back by popular demand. THE SET LIST. Welcome back old friend.

This was an interesting sunday for me. I have been dealing with many things with God lately and came into the service with high expectations for God. I started worship and it was like playing in pudding. It was thick and sluggish. It felt like nobody wanted to be there. I just wanted to walk off and chalk it up to an off week.

During offering I planned to do From the Inside out. I was sitting at the sound board praying and I decided to play Healer instead. This is a song nobody including those in the band did not know.

At this point I had expectation that God would meet me where I was and really just put aside everything else. It was like just He and I were in the room together.

I played it and my heart broke. More on that later. (teaser)

SET LIST

Worship Text-Fessional:
Wow what a crazy week…thanksgiving came and flew by. We had an awesome thanksgiving.
There are 5 churches in the area that the pastors have been meeting together for prayer every few weeks. One of the pastors is ours (my dad). The others are a non denom, Baptist, Evangelical Free, Charismatic Eucharistic Church (thats us), and A presbyterian. So one day they decided to have a Day before thanksgiving service at the Presbyterian Church and invite all 5 churches. Have any of you ever tried that? It almost never works. Nobody shows up and it’s awkward because the Charismatic guys are afraid of scaring the baptists etc etc. So we went with lousy expectations. I was asked to co lead worship and we didn’t know what to do. We decided on Open the eyes, Forever, and blessed be your name. The service opened with the churches trumpet player and huge pipe organ. Wow the hymns like that are sweet. Then 3 pastors preached then worship then hymn and 2 more pastors. Each one preached for 5 min. Let me tell you this service was the start of something huge…it was brilliant. The pastors preached that we are better together. IT’s obvious words but I think that maybe once in my Christian life I may see some pastors actual act on that.

Sunday service:
Good service this week. It’s the week before advent and it’s called Christ the king. We opened with Before the Throne of God which went ok but it my hands were not doing what my brain wanted.
Did a prayer and jumped into my new favorite song Say so. This is a killer song for just getting fired up for Christ…the rest of the Praise set was good as well ending in an original Hallelujah Love Song (written by me and Debbie Hanlon) As a matter of fact I just picked up a web cam. Horay for jumping on board 5 years late. lol. I still have to tweak the audio settings because I’ve got a little crackle, but here is me testing out the cam with that song. (expect much much more, so add me to your youtube watch list)
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMhPFxQJxZ8]
If you see any originals and want chords or anything let me know because I would love for other churches to be blessed by this stuff as well.
Before the sermon we did thats my King video…AWESOME!
Communion came and we did a few including my new slow fav. Nothing without you: Bebo Norman. If your not doing this one, you should.

All in all a good service, but for me that thanksgiving service was the highlight of the week.
Cya next time. Same bat channel
