Today is the first mutiangle review I am proud to be a part of. This is the coolest thing since sliced bread. We review “Hail to the King” by Hillsong London. You don’t want to miss this!
Archives For worship community
Last night our multi-church worship team had practice. It was amazing! This is one really talented and tight band. We worked on 2 of my songs, Revelation Song (jobe), wholly yours (crowder), Mighty to save (Hillsong) and a few others…I hope to have some audio soon, but here are some pics of the band. The only picture that I am missing is the sax player who is brilliant.
A few weeks ago I met with some local worship leaders from a few other churches about starting a multi-church worship team. I really believe in the big “C” in church and that unity is really the only way we are going to change the culture in our community. Last week we had our first practice. We have started small and have only told a select few about it just to get something established. In the near future we will be inviting even more churches to jump on board and maybe even springboard into some other things.
Ok back the the practice. God is amazing. This is one talented group of musicians. We have 2 guitars, piano, 2 lead vocals, drums, bass, and sax. Let me tell you this band was tight. We did a few songs that only 1 or 2 of us knew or have even heard and they only took one time to play them because they were amazing.
I am truly floored sometimes at what God can do in us and through us when we actually take up His mission. I am expecting great things here. God has some awesome stuff planned.
Stay tuned for more news, including a facebook fan page, about this band and its hopeful future participation from other area churches. We will be doing worship at this years national day of prayer and I think having a team comprised of musicians from more than one church is really gonna shake things up.
TheWorshipCommunity.Com just passed it’s 1,000th member today!
TheWorshipCommunity.Com is a forums-based community targeted to those involved in worship ministry – worship leaders, pastors, technicians, musicians, singers, etc. It’s also a great place for people to hang out and just discuss worship.
There is an active section in “Technologies for Worship” where technology is being discussed. Lots of song, CD, and equipment reviews … and of course, the infamous “Worship Confessional” area where we share our setlists.
So, if you’ve not joined – check it out today. If’ you joined but haven’t made an appearance anytime soon – come join the party!
I started a worship forum and it didn’t work. Fred Mckinnon started one (the worship community) and it’s almost working. Why almost? That’s simple.
YOU AREN’T ON IT.
So I told everybody about it before. HERE . 5 people checked it out. That’s not too bad. since that day I have had 12,000 hits. That’s kind of a poor ratio.
It’s not good enough to just check it out. I know as a worship leader I want more and more resources. and really we fall into 1 of 2 categories. We look and lurk or we look and participate. The more people participate in this blog, on that forum and other places the more resources available and the better we can be for Christ.
So go check it out. Click the picture. Sign up and get involved.
And for all the lurkers on here…I want to hear from you. I want to know what you are doing. I want to help and I want to learn.
So take up the cause. Say hello here and get involved. say hello at TWC and get involved. Then spread the word
