Vision

September 27, 2007 — 9 Comments

On my desk I have little post-its that say:

Imagine
Dream
Plan
Create

I don’t use the post-its much but the words really hit me this morning. I have so much I want to accomplish and I am in real need of some organization of it. I have always been a huge fan of writing vision down. So with that said.

What do you imagine in your life…in your church
What are you dreaming about
What are you planning in your life…in your church
What are you creating

I’ll post mine later…lets hear it…?

  1. Based on the message I received through my quiet time this morning my response is this. If I were to write down my vision for what God would have for me, which would include all the topics you mentioned, it would be prohibitive. i need to just trust that the vision is His and there is nothing He prohibits; in His name.

  2. very interesting…I think planning is good…leaving it in God’s hands though is the key. He can order our paths but we have to be moving.

    great thoughts kurt

  3. I’ve got a question for you, but I’m not sure how to contact you privately. If you are aware of how to email me without me giving my email on here, that would be great. Otherwise I’ll post it for you to contact me. It’s a question about the new CEC logo.

  4. In my life I imagine that I am doing a good job raising two boys to be faithful servants of Him, and I imagine that the church is helping in that effort.

In my life I dream about a time when things are not so difficult for the three of us financially and for me not so difficult emotionally & spiritually. In this dream I know that the Lord will provide all we need. And so I’m not worried.

In my life I am planning to listen more closely to God, to follow his plan for me more carefully and deliberately. In my church I am planning to do more, to get more involved.

In my life I am creating a happy, healthy (spiritually, emotionally, physically) home for my children — Even if it is a home with only one parent. I am creating a childhood that they will look back on and think about all we had (Christ, His love, each other, happiness) and not what we didn’t have.

  5. Liz…great stuff..you need to stay in our church…simple as that…I command it

  6. Vision!!! One of the most important and vital gift to the church…and yet so few try to fulfill their vision. What makes it worse is that so many people are not being taught that they have a part to fulfill in the great commision, so they remain visionless. That is why there are people like us in the Body of Christ that have been blessed to see the vision and then plant that vision into others…And topping the vision off by planting them into it! Great blog!!! And thanks for coming by my page and commenting. I am rather new, only been on since the first of the month. Yet, I hope and pray that my writings will help save, deliver and inspire others. Keep up the great work!!! Be blessed…Samuel…The Worshiper

  7. Samuel…great to have you here…
yeah I think it starts with the church teaching the main vision and then God teaches them His vision.
Your writing is fantastic…don’t be a stranger
