They Showed up

Of course I forgot to tell anybody they were suppose to show up.

Yup thats right…We have lost a few musicians in the band, but I don’t want to sacrifice the sound. Enter in Ableton Live 6 and the M-Audio Axiom 49. I first was introduced to it by watching Robbie Reider lead worship and I loved it. Then Digital worship and Fred. I have been playing with them for a few hours and have learned a little bit. It will take some time but my hope is to have a foot controlled band in a box in service to fill in the sound. So far I love it. It is way more intuitive than Reason 3.0. I have been reading everything I can on digitaworship and hopefully he isn’t MIA because I am gonna need some help soon. Great sounds. and of course wish there was more that came with it, but thats the nature of most things. They always want you to buy more.

I got an amazing price on these through my contact at guitar center. and remember if you want him as a contact also just email me.

Anybody else using this? or wish they were?

We may start doing something like this to fill out the drum sound. What kind of foot controllers have you looked at?

If we do this, I can buy the software at a ridiculous academic discount. Being a teacher can have great fringe benefits.

Awesome – checkout some of the trax at InteractiveWorshipLive.Com as well.

I’ll be on the lookout for Greg @ digitalworship, and get a thread on it going at TheWorshipCommunity.Com as well.

Congrats, and welcome to the fold!

I way want to use Abelton in worship. I just don’t want to be the guy responsible for playing with it and figuring it out, but man I’d love to have a dj/drum machine geek on my team.

When you get it up and running I’d love to hear some live clips from your Sunday service of the stuff you come up with.

I use Ableton Live during our worship set each week but mainly as a host for vst synths. We unfortunately lost our main drummer a couple of months ago and rather than look outside our worship pastor chose to bring up a few of the youth that play and help them develop their talents. At this point though they’re not quite ready to start playing with a click track so sync with a sequencer is out of the question right now. In time though…..
