Our set list for yesterday:
Pre-processional:
He Has Made Me Glad – Leona von Brethorst
Processional:
Soldiers of Christ, Arise – Charles Wesley
Gradual:
Spirit Song – John Wimber
Praise & Worship:
The Battle Belongs to the Lord – Jamie Owens-Collins
Shout to the North – Martin Smith
All the Earth Shall Worship – Carl Tuttle
Communion:
Here I Am, Lord – Daniel Schutte
Recessional:
Take My Life and Let It Be – Frances R. Havergal
We went with a bit of a martial flavor, mostly due to the New Testament reading for the day (Hebrews 12:1-14). It worked well; although not many people knew the Tuttle song, we sang it enough to learn it pretty well (and it’s an easy song, too, which helps).
Nice set.
he has made me glad? that i will enter into his gates….? that one?
take my life…great Hymn…on the michael neale CD (no greater audience) he does it with an added chorus and it’s amazing. I’m going to be doing it soon
Yes, that’s the song. It makes a good opening song, with its imagery of coming into God’s house.
I’d like to find a good modern version of “Take My Life,” because the words are excellent, but the tune is banal. Is the Neale CD worth getting? And which track is “Take My life”? I didn’t see it listed on Amazon’s description.
Darren…its calle I am Yours…
and if you don’t get it you will be sorry. lol
