Be Thou My Vision

January 1, 2007 — 1 Comment

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me, save but Thou art,
Thou my best thought by day or by night
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.”

Such Beautiful words. Again this is a perfect example of singing songs and really needing to stop and take a look at the actual words.

Be thou my vision O Lord of my heart…Open the eyes of my heart all I want to see is you Lord.
Naught be all else to me, save but thou art….You alone are worthy…everything else is meaningless
Thou my best thought by day or by night….Lord be in my mind…Engulf my thoughts
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light…Cover me in your light…surround me with your presence at all hours

  1. Love this tune! We do it quite often…actually, I did it this past week! You are right on with the words too! I added a little tag to this song in a Crowder-esque sort of way I suppose, ending it with a refrain of “Amen” repeated. I typically end our worship set with this and it’s beautiful.
